A 3 minutes Briefing

🏁 Welcome to Karting Minilandia 🏁

Before you start racing, here’s a quick 3-minute briefing to help you understand how the kart works, how to drive safely, and how to improve your lap times. Whether it’s your first time or you’re an experienced driver – this is for you!

1. Kart Basics – How It Works

  • Right pedal = gas
  • Left pedal = brake
  • No gears – just press the gas and go.

⚠️ Important: Never press the gas and brake at the same time. This reduces control and can damage the kart.

2. Posture & Steering

  • Sit firmly with your back straight and both hands on the wheel.
  • Keep your eyes focused ahead – not just on the kart in front.
  • Steer smoothly: turn in, hold through the corner, and gently unwind on exit.

3. Braking & Acceleration Tips

  • Always brake in a straight line, before turning.
  • Accelerate only after the apex (middle) of the corner.
  • Braking too late or while turning may cause loss of control.
  • Advanced drivers use trail braking (releasing the brake gradually into the corner), but it takes practice.

4. Racing Line – The Fastest Way Around

  • Follow this pattern: Outside – Inside – Outside.
  • Prioritize a clean exit over a fast entry – exit speed helps on the next straight.
  • In tighter corners, slow down more and prepare for the next section.

5. Overtaking & Safety

  • Be respectful: karting is not bumper cars.
  • Overtake cleanly, preferably under braking before a corner.
  • No blocking or weaving. Hold your line.
  • If someone is faster behind, let them pass safely and focus on your own laps.

6. Pro Tips

  • Consistency is key. Repeat your braking and turning points every lap.
  • Look ahead – drive with your eyes.
  • Smooth driving is faster than aggressive driving.
  • Relax your arms – don’t fight the kart.

✅ Final Reminder

Respect the rules. Respect other drivers.
Most importantly – have fun!
Karting is about pushing your limits while enjoying the thrill of racing. Whether you’re here to win or just improve, the track is yours.
