How to play
A round is 18 holes in a row and takes about 45 minutes, with no time limit. This is how it works from start to finish.

Pay at the ticket office
Mini golf costs 6 tickets per player (7,80 €); with the Kids' Pass it is 7. Anyone can play: there is no minimum age or height.
Collect your gear
At the mini golf entrance you get a putter, a ball and a scorecard. Putters come in several sizes, including ones for small children.
Start at hole 1
The holes are numbered and played in order, from 1 to 18. Each one starts from the tee mark.
Take turns
While one person putts, the others wait beside them, off the lane. When the ball stops, it is the next player's turn.
Write down every stroke
Every stroke counts and goes on the scorecard straight away. If the ball leaves the lane, put it back where it went out and carry on. If a hole will not go in, the usual custom is to write down a maximum of six strokes and move on.
Move on to the next hole
Once everyone has holed out, on to the next one. If the group behind is waiting, let them through.
Add up and return your gear
After hole 18, add up the strokes: the lowest score wins. Add them up by hand, no phone calculator. Putters and balls go back where you collected them.

Rules
The first two are the park's own rules. The rest are the ones any mini golf course asks for when other people are on the lanes.
Getting in
- Everyone who goes into the mini golf pays for a ticket, whether they play or not, even for a single hole. The only exception is a group of minors: one responsible adult may go in with them without a ticket to look after them. Only one person may go in without a ticket; if more adults come along, each of them pays. Passing one putter around is not allowed either: there are putters for every age.
- No smoking inside the mini golf.
On the course
- The putter is for hitting the ball, always close to the ground. Do not raise it above knee height or swing it in the air: someone may be behind you.
- While someone is putting, everyone else stays beside or behind them, a couple of metres away. Never in front or in the ball's path.
- Do not walk into a hole where another group is playing, and do not putt towards them. Wait until they finish.
- Do not step or climb on the obstacles and figures along the course. You play from the ground.
- Small children play with an adult, who stays with them for the whole round.
- When you finish, return the putter and ball at the handout point. If anything breaks or gets lost, tell the ticket office.

A bit of history
Mini golf is more than 150 years old. The first documented course is the ladies' putting green at St Andrews, Scotland, from 1867: a small course just for putting, still played today. Obstacles came later, in the United States, and in the 1920s the game became a craze with tens of thousands of courses.
Standardised lanes, like the ones used in competition, were born in Switzerland in the 1950s. Today there are national federations and world championships. Ours has 18 holes in the open air, as tradition has it.

- 1867
- St Andrews (Scotland): the Ladies' Putting Green opens, the first documented miniature golf course.
- 1916
- Pinehurst (USA): the Thistle Dhu course, one of the first miniature courses in America.
- 1927
- Garnet Carter patents "Tom Thumb Golf" in Tennessee. By the end of the decade there are tens of thousands of courses across the United States.
- 1937
- Sweden founds the oldest minigolf federation in the world.
- 1950s
- Paul Bongni builds the first concrete lanes with standard measurements in Switzerland, the ones used in competitive minigolf.
